A Piano that Looks more Like a Futuristic Spaceship

At a first glance the Schimmel Pegasus Piano doesn’t look like a piano. With those beautifully sculpted curves this piano looks more like a futuristic spaceship. The Piano has over 200 strings with a key assembly of 10000 pieces with a fully adjustable hydraulic lid. Now you can have your own Schimmel Pegasus Piano because there’s one for sale until March 15th, only 14 were made ten years ago for people like Eddie Murphy, Lenny Kravitz, and Prince. The pianist’s touch determines the speed and energy of the hammer contacting and energizing the strings. The pianist’s touch determines the speed and energy of the hammer contacting and energizing the strings. Details in workmanship and material are paramount if the pianist is to enjoy playing the instrument and experience rich, expanded dynamic sonority. Schimmel keyboard/action systems are examples of exclusive workmanship, regulated to discriminating standards and ideally matched to the strung back assemblies. they are asking only $110,000, and their highest bit is currently at $100,000.

The "Must" Have Sectional Sofa by Arketipo

When it comes to dramatic and bold lines backed by equally innovative quality and construction, Arketipo excels in the field. The Arketipo collection is geared mostly for the European market where their modern and contemporary Italian sofas styles are greatly appreciated. One of my favorite sectional sofas is the "Must" by designer Carlo Bimbi e Adriano Piazzesi which offers a multitude of components so you create a seating arrangement to fit your room and requirements. The striking feature of this seating system is the special wBeverly Hills: Edge / Leather Sofa Sets shape of the elements that is also equipped with a clever functional backrest adjustment to change the seat depth for optimal comfort. The scale of the Must is very light thanks to a thin linear construction and minimalist foot. Arketipo also has a stunning collection of chairs, beds and furniture accessories for the connoisseur of fine modern furniture Italian style.

3 in 1 chair : Chair Ssstoel

The Chair Ssstoel is designed by Studio Voortman & Girod a studio in the Netherlands. This chair is a unique 3 in 1 chair that allows a person to sit correctly despite its shifty appearance. The idea might look cool and original but I’m pretty sure that you’ll don’t think the same after you’ll see the price tag : $1320 …a huge price for a chair. [ Via ]

Modern House uses Water Tank to Hold up Roof

The Cape Schank House in Victoria, Australia designed by Paul Morgan Architects is a great example of integrated sustainable technology in residences. The most interesting thing at this house is the water tank, the ceiling wraps down to an internal water tank. The tank cools the ambient air temperature of the Living Room during summer, supplies rain water, and structurally carries the roof load. During winter the tank is drained and wrapped in an insulating jacket. The tank also plays an important role in organizing the living area into four discrete zones: kitchen, living, eating and work. I agree that this water tank might take some space, but the design and implementation is awesome. - Via - Solardecathlon & materialicious
