Search Tool Added on Freshome
Today I want to announce a new tool that I’ve added on Freshome to help you find what you really want. Over time I’ve gathered on this blog a lot of interesting stuff, and I know that most of my readers come to this blog for a piece of fresh inspiration. Mon Coeur Designer Sofa by La Cividana
Mon Coeur is a stunning designer sofa available from La Cividana furniture. Mon Coeur features a minimalist approach towards cushions and upholstery as compared to the overall mass of the sofa. The picture highlights how small the cushion appears in contrast to the frame. The frame provides the most "wow" details. I like the way that it is shaped as a rounded shell and yet is higher on one side creating a visual focus on the non-conforming shape. IT’S A LITTLE WARM FOR COATS in the northern hemisphere but Brave Space Design’s Mountain Coat Range is gorgeous enough for us to consider buying one simple for its aesthetic value. The edgy piece is actually a two-parter; using excess material from cut sheets, the walnut exterior wraps around a lighter maple interior that has been sliced at an angle to resemble snowy mountain peaks. Leather Furniture Cleaning Product Leatherique
As discussed in an earlier article, how to ruin your leather furniture, you have to be careful about using oil based products (i.e. mink oil and saddle soap) since they can darken your leather furniture. Leatherique is a company that offers products free of oil to moisturize and clean leather.
Two products in particular are the Rejuvenator Oil and Pristine Clean. Rejuvenator oil retails for $31.95 for 16 oz. and Pristine Clean for $21.95 for 16 oz. Both of these products can be used to clean and enhance the longevity of your favorite leather sofa or club chair.

The Bird’s Nest Chair : X_Lounger
With the world’s attention and probably yours glued to the television coverage of the Beijing Olympics, few could have failed to notice the spectacular Bird’s Nest Stadium where the opening ceremony took place. Well, here is seating that looks just like the stadium. The X_Lounger is a modern bean bag of a chair where ” a single ray has been traced along a periodic double curved surface, resulting in a random looking yet controlled construction pattern.” The X_Lounger is available either in satin aluminum or Malaysian rattan.
Timothy Schreiber is the architect and designer behind the X_Lounger who describes his style as “pop modernism”. He has traveled the world for his many projects. We have presented the Skateboard Shelf a few months ago, but today here is something more extreme, every piece of furniture is inspired by a skateboard. Skate Study House (SSH) is an innovative design concept specializing in re creating popular furniture through the vision of a skateboarder. The movement of a skateboarder constantly changes it re creates itself by transcending boundaries and inventing ways to conquer obstacles. It’s constantly about anticipation and adaptation to one’s environment. The same is true for living design. Folies Bergere Unique Armchairs
La Cividina has created this unique furniture design called Folies Bergere arm chairs. My first impression is that the overall shape of the chairs is very different and "ulta- modern". In particular, the high backrest almost seems whimsical in its interpretation by the designer. The small, rounded seating base reminds me of the shape and size of an ottoman. Construction consists of leather or fabric upholstery atop a wooden frame with a metal swivel base. Measurements: 88 cm x 78cm x 144 cm. Available: here.
Ultimate Ridiculousness: Louis Vuitton Trash Bags
I see a lot of people who wear Louis Vuitton shoes, handbags, wallets, clothes, etc ..and they feel extremely proud by wearing them. Now today I’ve found something that I can say that is extremely ridiculous - Louis Vuitton Trash Bags …what’s next ? Gucci toilet paper !? It seems they will put Louis Vuitton logos on anything these day. Anyway the Louis Vuitton Trash Bag is the dumbest thing i have seen in awhile, and I hope people don’t waste their hard earned money on these, because that’s exactly how you throw money away.
