The Lobster Chair
The Lobster Chair has been designed by the danish designfirm LUND & PAARMANN, which was founded by Oluf Lund and Eva Paarmann. Lobster is produced in Denmark in materials carefully chosen to match the requirements of the design, the function and the construction. The shell is laminated, bend wood with a walnut veneer at the back. Inside the shell the designers have used Pantera foam, as it is very durable and probably the least damaging foam regarding our environment. The swivel base is chrome-plated steel. Dornbracht creates my idea of the perfect modern bathroom that not only looks great but promotes a wellness concept and "the spirit of water". The Symetrics collection focuses not on the individual series or fitting, but on the bathroom as a whole which opens up new perspectives in bathroom planning. My favorite is the WaterSheet wall mounted cascade bath spout that acts as your own personal water fall, and when combined with the Symetrics RainSky M shower you have created a sanctuary that would be hard to tear yourself away from. Flatpak - Industrial Design Aspen House
This picture shows the Flatpak home located in Aspen, Colorado. From first glance you can see that this is not the rustic styling that is common to mountain resort homes in Aspen. Flatpak features a modern industrial design. As I look closely I see design inspired from construction elements that would be found in a warehouse. A warehouse features high ceilings, few windows, and a boxy frame since its purpose to maximize space and flow goods through its design. It would be interesting to find out what the neighbors think of this house. Via.
