Casa Aquino by Augusto Fernandez Mas
This amazing house located in Morelos, Mexico is called “Casa Aquino” and it was designed by Augusto Fernandez Mas (K+A Diseño). Architect Augusto Fernandez Mas’ emphasis on wood and stone helps blend the house in with its natural surroundings. This single-family residence is located on a steeped lot in front of federal government lands and aside a river; it entailed a series of building and environmental restrictions. The sloped terrain made retaining walls necessary, as well as a drainage system to channel large amounts of rainwater. The house is configured by orthogonal shapes and materials such as wood, stone and metal without artificial claddings. It stands with no protagonism against the rich and abundant surroundings. Finally the most beautiful part of the house is the small pool of stone and its red cedar surrounding pavement that stands as the most intimate space concealed between the house and one of the perimeter retaining walls. - Via
Screens of 3 and 9 millimeters from Sony
Technology is something that moves very fast.To illustrate this Sony is decided to launch 3mm Thin OLED Displays. This year at Display Expo 2007 Sony in his stand this presented/ displayed this two hese gorgeous screens. This first screen is able to reach 1024×600 points just by 3 millimeters in thickness. This however is a screen full HD (1080p) with 1.000.000: 1 in resistance (yes, 1 million) in single 9 millimeters in thickness.
Floating Gym and Spa in Wolfsburg, Germany
Living in Wolfsburg, Germany? Then you already know or probably even tested the floating gym and spa, but for the rest of us it just looks as a dream come true.
It’s a 800sqm river floating pontoon by designer Max Wehberg that includes a 40 meter long and 9 meter wide open-air swimming pool 30cm above water (includes heated water, too), a terrace, a solarium and spa amenities like massage cabins or other specific treatments that will “cause” relaxation.

There are about to be more choices in Houston for home decorating. Ashley is opening two Houston furniture stores. Conroe and Katy will be the first locations with plans to build 8-10 more. The Ashley HomeStores concept centers upon 45,000 square foot retail locations. The Wisconsin manufacturer will use these stores to market their own brand exclusively, focusing on settings in which the customer can see entire rooms of furniture setup as he or she would see in his or her own house.

Sketch Chairs - Mommy’s Chair by Lucy Merchant
Look closely. Very, very closely. These chairs appear to be a child’s drawing or a delibrate cartoon sketch on paper. But they are not. They are fully 3-D chairs i.e. real chairs anyone can sit on. Lucy Merchant is the designer behind Mommy’s Chair, a series of hand-bent recycled steel chairs with white seats which she says, represents “the spontaneity of a rough sketch.” The metal has been powder coated in primary colours, hues which suggest colouring pencils or crayons used by children. A variety of chair back styles are available. Each style could form a set but the chairs are best as a mixed group for visual impact especially with a matching table. The chairs would make a rather fun addition to a family room or a children’s playroom although they are rated for exterior use as well.
