Bookseat - A Chair for Book LoversAlmost a year ago we presented a similar product named the Library Chair, and today here is the bookseat, a simple bookcase that playfully curves and becomes a seat, is a creative design responding to the multifunctional usage of space in today’s urban living. The design looks awesome especially when you add a few books with a colorful book cover. The bad part is that people in these days don’t buy so many books, or if they buy they buy them in electronic format. The chair is designed by a Toronto based design-duo company named FishbolDesign Atelier, and is manufactured with bent plywood and available with a felt cushion in customizable colors. For those interested in this design he will be available in Spring 2008. - Via - designspotterMood lighting for an emotional bathing experienceIt has been known for centuries that light and color have a positive effect on body and soul, and when used in conjunction with water they have an even more intense deep relaxation effect ( we spoke in a previous post about Room Color and How it Affects your Mood ). This is exactly what this calming bathroom that easily adjusts to your mood can do for you. Light is key to this design, with the Kaldewei LED spotlights that can change color by a touch of a button, allowing you to choose the color that best represents your mood. The lighting systems and the individual spectral light combinations are operated with a gentle push of a button on a control panel on the rim of the bath so the desired effect can develop to its full potential in the course of a relaxed bath. And those who do not want to limit themselves to a particular colour can simply opt for the automatic colour spectrum which starts a fascinating show of the various colours and lighting effects.Corsica Street Apartment, For Rent in LondonFor those who’d like to visit London but don’t to be tied up with a hotel, the solution is simple. Most of the models on the market don't take much of a design approach and as a result, don't complement the décor of the home. The model featured here is "Bambu" from Deltacolor that was designed by Studio Dell'Acqua-Bellavitis. Here they take metal tubes up from a narrow base and fray them on the ends to create a natural look much like is seen in plants. The end result is a small heater that adds to the beauty of your home. For those that are looking for current color Beverly Hills: Trend / Leather Sofa Setss in furniture and home design, I created this blog post. Pumpkin color has really taken off. This color is being embraced by consumers and is just not sitting on showroom floors. Sofas, chairs and loveseats in particular have been hot in pumpkin this spring. Shoppers continue to buy these pieces for their homes. Items such as accent pillows are also gaining in popularity. Many fashion and décor magazines may not have a direct picture of a pumpkin colored sofa, but you can see the pumpkin colored accent pillows on the furniture in the picture. Pumpkin has gained in popularity, because it is much softer than orange and easier on the eyes. Orange's bold and vibrant look is just too strong for most shoppers. Where pumpkin has gained in popularity, yellow has declined. I had someone say to me recently that "orange is the new yellow". There is a lot of evidence to support this comment.
