Wall Clock - Emily

This wall clock is designed by Greg Wolos and was the winning entry at the Furni - Show Us Your Skills Contest. As you can see from the picture below this wall clock attaches to the wall and the display shows the time so that you can read it when your head is on a pillow, and you are still sleepy. Viewed from the front, the clock’s aluminum casing is simple and blends nicely with the wall. Since the casing is fastened to the wood with machine screws and threaded inserts, a user could easily flip the led display and make this a table clock. Furni is now planning to put Emily wall clock into production for their upcoming collection and share the profits with the winner. - Via - Mocoloco

Adjustable Height Side Tables - Panier

Bought a new bed recently? Or a new Living Room set? You may have noticed that beds are not made of the same standard height nor are sofas. It’s so annoying then to have to get brand new sides when the old ones are still perfectly fine. You won’t have this problem though if you had bought the Panier tables. Several of them in your house will give you great flexibility in table heights as you can stack any number of them. A whole tower of these in a corner will not only store them neatly but they will have a pleasing effect on your decor. The French design team Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec designed these modular tables. Each is only 9″ high and the diameter is 24″. The translucent colours and shine of the polycarbonate tables will suit a contemporary decor. The tops lift off which means the tables function also as storage units. The Panier is available from Hive. - Via

Small Apartments(Lofts) Interior Design Ideas

In these days more and more people live in small apartments, because the prices for buying or renting an apartment are higher and higher every year. Now the most challenging issue with living in a small apartment is not the size of the apartment itself, but all the things you have to organize in a small place. Many apartment dwellers find themselves dealing with overcrowded apartment homes because of the economical advantages, sacrificing functionality for an affordable living arrangement. The solution for this problem is to create a living area that is comfortable, enjoyable, and at the same time maximizing your space. I’ve decided to post a few pictures with small apartments because in the last weeks a few people sent me emails asking me if I can post a few interior design ideas for small apartments, and here are a some interesting projects.

Illumination with Style : Birds On A Wire

For those who want things that are a little bit out of common, here is a great and beautiful example of how you can use illumination with style. Javier Henriquez and Sebastian Lara from the Mexican design studio eos méxico got inspired by the suburb afternoons and came up with this beautiful birds on a wire illumination. A simple design, but the effect is very interesting, and I’m sure that is not to much work to build yourself one of these. - Via - Neatorama

Bedroom Interior Design

For something such as a bedroom design you’ll want to think long and hard about precisely what it is that you’re going to do, and today we present another inspirational post from our bedroom interior design inspiration series. Bedrooms are the primary place of relaxation, where we all retire to take a good sleep and refresh, away from the world and worries. The bedroom interior design is extremely important in order to provide that instant feel of relaxation and here are a few tips: the first thing that meets the eyes are the colors used on the walls, carpets and bed set so, they all must be soothing in pastel colors in order to provide a relaxing effect. Keep the bedroom interior design minimal, neat and always clean but also don’t forget to add some change and color with every season in order to keep it exciting and adventurous. Changing your bedroom interior design should only be done to suit an occasion or festivity as constant major changes will actually induce restlessness instead of relaxation until you get used to the sight and sounds and once again be able to relax and enjoy your bedroom interior design.

Closet Organizing System by Elfa

I had a bit of time last week to do some work around the home and one of my projects was getting into my closets. The challenging question seems to be am I organizing my space as best as possible for the limited space that I have? Currently, I have some built in shelves and racks already in place to store clothes and shoes. I wonder though, would I be better off if I had a rectangular closet with nothing in it that I was allowed to finish out? Perhaps, in my next place I will have that chance. I do like the closet organizing systems by Elfa as pictured here. I have their shelving in my garage currently and it has worked out fantastic. This is the birch and white model. Price: $798. Elfa is designed to be a custom solution to fit your specific space requirements much like California Closets. More information: here.
