It seems that every time I go to a party or social event the crowd ends up in the kitchen. With so much focus being put on the kitchen and great room there has been a push for better and more comfortable furniture for these areas. One item that seems to be in demand but is one of the harder to find is the barstool. Of coarse you must consider looks verses comfort and bar verses counter height. The constantly growing line included many choices that are height adjustable for counter or bar height. This is important because within these categories the actual counter top height will vary several inches and Elite has the answer for every situation. Elite offers several metal, wood, and fabric options to really fine tune the stools to your décor. Also the fabrics on the seats can be re upholstered over the years to give a fresh new look as your tastes change.
One thing I find very impressive about this line is the construction. Elite makes a very durable item with a steel construction that will last and hold up to anything. I also like the swivel option for easy use and access. The company also makes several stools that are a more conventional type without the height adjustable or swivel feature if this is a better option in both bar and counter heights.
While you are choosing your Bar Stools, keep in mind how many you would like. To find out the right amount for your space, you should measure your table. Usually you want to have between 25 and 30 inches from the center of one seat to the other. To find this out, divide the length of your counter or table by 28" and you'll conveniently discover how many pieces are needed.

Retro Modern Sofa and Occasional Chair
There's not a lot of information on these two products, but I fell in love when I saw them and had to share them. I am a big fan of retro modern Living Room furniture and here you see two fine examples in a sofa and matching accent chair. The ribbed upholstery creates a throwback theme to days long gone. The catchy aspect is that these pieces are finished well on the ends with fitting angles and shapes creating a "retro look". The slightly indented sides remind me of old commercial seating that you would see at a diner, bus station, or train station. The angles, indention, and shape create this look for me. Residence Klosterneuburg
Residence Klosterneuburg is a beautiful project designed by Project A01 and is situated in a small town near Vienna.
The site is situated on a slope over looking the whole valley. The base of the building roughly follows the incline of the slope and is slightly terraced. In keeping with this concept, the ground floor consists of several levels also following the downward slope. These levels divide the lavish loft-like living space into various functional areas, such as the fireplace and the lounge area. The kitchen as well as the dining area- and breakfast terrace are likewise connected to the main living space. Various patios and terraces, as well as a swimming pool, are located around the building and create a seamless connection between the living space indoors and the landscape outdoors. A cantilevered structure is located above the ground floor and houses the private rooms. The steel columns are reduced to a minimum and follow the structural system. A gallery provides access to the library, the guest quarters and the children’s rooms. The master bedroom is located on a further level, half a floor above. There is also a separate bathroom and a walk-in wardrobe. The rooftop terrace offers a grand view over the green valley. The surfaces on the ground floor are made of stone and wood, whereas the upper level has been given a special coating, creating a smooth white box. The garage and the technical rooms, as well as the fitness room, are located in the basement. An underwater window in the fitness room creates interesting insights and lighting situations in the basement.

Vintage Modern Furniture: 1950s Warren Platner Lounge Chair
Here is an interesting piece of vintage modern furniture from the 1950s. This is a lounge chair by Warren Platner. Lehigh Leopold was the manufacturer for this chair and at the time had a line of desks featuring other Planter pieces. The walnut sides create a great vintage look which complimented the line of office desks as you can imagine writing atop a desk of with this color wood. The Platner chair was finished with a chrome base and leather upholstery. In today's market, this lounge chair would be around $1,500.
