Between 1999 and 2005, the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing says, sales of homes for more than $1 million skyrocketed over 500%. Today, there are seven homes on the market priced at $100 million or more. In 2005, there was just one. Now, why more and more people build this kind of homes ? In these days more and more people get richer and richer. They have worked hard for their money and this is a way to show their “trophy properties”, aquired with a lot of hard work, the prize.
Minimalistic Swedish Interior Designs by Åsberg Interiör & Styling
The Swedish Interior Designs are heavily influenced by the light and weather of Scandinavia, because long dreary winters with early dusk and a lack of natural light necessitated rethinking the structure of the interior design. Anything dark, gloomy, and heavy was out while anything pale, light, airy, and minimal was in. Pale walls ( especially white ones ), floors, and furnishings reflected whatever light was available, thus cheering and lightening even the darkest days of winter. Accessories are kept simple and displayed in an uncluttered manner, that offers a fresh and clean look. Swedish style interiors are becoming more and more popular. It’s a look that combines refined elegance with a casual aged appearance that seems to have universal appeal. The Hood Chair
This interesting chair concept was designed by Mats Broberg & Johan Ridderstråle in collaboration with the Brazilian Campana brothers.
This Chair originates from a workshop with the Campana brothers in 2003.The theme was “containment” and “construction from deconstruction”.Furniture often take new shapes when they are being used.The Hood Chair borrows proprieties recognized in clothing to give the chair a look and function that communicates through other channels.
Colorful Takebook Contemporary Bookshelves and Bookcases
We recently featured another wonderful shelving product from Bellato in a recent article. Here is another great design called "Takebook". A. Sattin created this product keeping in mind that each person has their own creative energies. Focusing on color and simple MDF construction, Takebook allows us to create our own contemporary book shelves and bookcases. My favorite design element is the color. The red book shelves are very cool as is the white and the combination orange and white. Here we can do our own home decorating adding color and design into a Living Room, study, or home office. The Camouflage House
This home has been encased in a facade matching the greenery around it, with a beautiful result. The concealing mesh is permeable to let the sunshine filter onto the house. But it also allows the light from inside to radiate out. Allowing the build to sit anonymously by day, but emerge discretely at night. Blurring the boundaries between what is human, and what is not. When I saw the pictures I’ve imediately thought that this home would be perfect durring a war, a perfect example of camouflage. I’m sure that this mesh design can be improved to increase the camouflage.

Float Wave Chaise
This is a beautiful and modernist chaise line designed by architect Jeanne Scandura.The design is simple and elegant. Constructed from fiberglass-reinforced resin, the Float Wave is little more than a double wave whose basic form makes it equally appropriate indoors and outdoors. Now looking at this chair I can say that I want one, but some people might feel in comfortable in a chair like this because the only position you can stay on your back, other positions might be pretty un comfortable.
